Beresfords helps Essex charities off to a ‘flying start’ in 2013

Beresfords has helped a dozen Essex charities to continue their good work across the county after staff nominated 12 charities to benefit from a donation of £2,700 in December.

The charities were announced online daily from 12th – 23rd December as part of the estate agent’s ’12 days before Christmas’ campaign and included The Remus Horse Sanctuary, Kids Inspire and homelessness charity CHESS. Beresfords met with staff and crew from the Essex Air Ambulance at its base on the final day of the campaign to present the charity with their donation and learn more about the vital service they provide.

Terry Holmes, Director at Beresfords, comments:

“We are delighted to have been able to help some of Essex’s many charities that provide an invaluable service to residents across the county. But, charity isn’t just for Christmas. The Essex Air Ambulance needs as much as £250,000 each month to be able to operate and we hope we can continue to support them throughout 2013.”

Sabi Blyth, Fundraising Coordinator at Essex Air Ambulance, adds:

“It was a pleasure to show Beresfords around the Air Base at Earls Colne and to demonstrate what their donation is going towards. As we do not receive any direct funding from the Government or National Lottery we are so grateful for the support of local businesses like Beresfords, without which we simply could not keep flying and saving lives in the region.”
