8 July 2008: Chelsea Building Society, the UK’s fifth largest building society, is delighted to confirm that they have appointed The Wriglesworth Consultancy to provide PR support for a new ‘Heritage’ campaign.
After a competitive pitch, TWC was chosen to provide PR support for a national campaign designed to highlight the importance of traditional values in financial decisions. The campaign will last three months and TWC will work closely with Chelsea’s in-house team headed by Jeremy Hicks (Divisional Director of Communications) to ensure its success. Laura O’Connell (Director) at The Wriglesworth Consultancy will head the account supported by a team including Lee Blackwell.
Jeremy Hicks, Divisional Director of Communications at Chelsea Building Society, commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to have appointed Wriglesworth to support this campaign. Their creative pitch showed a comprehensive understanding of Chelsea’s position as a traditional building society with long established values and the campaign they devised really tapped into the messages we are trying to portray.”
Laura O’Connell, Director at Wriglesworth said: “Wriglesworth has worked with many building societies as both retainer and project clients. As an agency we understand the challenges they face in today’s market. The Heritage campaign represents an exciting opportunity to explore the concept of tradition, trust and service and what it means for today’s society.”
