logoScottish-based utility company – Spark Energy is delighted to announce that they have hired the Wriglesworth consultancy to head a national PR campaign designed to grow their customer base and build brand recognition.  This appointment was made after a competitive selection process.

Spark Energy is the UK’s only utilities company that focuses exclusively on supplying gas and electricity to the residential tenants sector.  Therefore, as part of the campaign, Wriglesworth will be working to highlight the brand and its USPs to both national and specialist trade press.  As a forward looking company, Spark is particularly keen on the role of online and social media and this will form a key part of the campaign going forward.

Neil Mackwood (Wriglesworth Director) will lead the account, supported by a team drawn from both Wriglesworth’s Retail Financial Services and Property teams.

P.J. Darling, CEO of Spark Energy, said, “As a relative newcomer to the UK utilities market, we were keen to find an agency that would support our ambitious growth plans.  The Wriglesworth Consultancy was the ideal choice as they offer us significant experience in the residential lettings market as well as a creative approach to PR and solid Social Media expertise.

Wriglesworth Director, Neil Mackwood, said “We were delighted to win the Spark account as it offers some very interesting opportunities and challenges going forward in a vibrant sector.  We look forward to working closely with their team to make their ambitious growth plans a reality.”
